I interned at TCC during my MSW program as a Macro student. I was a part of the Quality and Compliance Department. This experience was truly one of the best I have had as an intern. During my time there, my supervisors were really great at making sure I had the opportunity to meet and work with different departments that I was interested in. I was able to shadow intakes, meet with the grant writer, and work on several different committees. They really strive on making sure you get a full, well-rounded experience that fits your interests and career goals/path. As a part of the Quality & Compliance team, I got to work on and improve some skills that I knew I would need moving forward. This included things like coding surveys, creating reports, and conducting meetings that helped to ensure different programs were meeting set goals and improve where necessary. I would 100% recommend TCC to any MSW or BSW student looking for an internship; especially Macro students! It can be hard to find a good Macro internship, but it seems that there is an amazing one located in Detroit, MI!
